Your new role:
The Data & Reporting Developer is a crucial role that directly reports to the Data & Reporting Development Manager. This individual will act as a bridge between multiple departments, partnering closely with teams from commercial, marketing, product, content, and development teams.
The primary focus lies in designing, developing, and maintaining reports based on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the affiliate marketing industry. These reports will serve as essential tools for data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The overarching goal is to build a robust, user-friendly reporting system that enhances data visibility and utility for all organizational levels. In doing so, this role will contribute to creating a culture of informed, data-driven decision-making.
What you'll be working on:
- Develop and maintain reports for various key metrics including SEO, Conversion, Website Performance, and Campaigns. Monitor performance metrics in real-time and ensure reports are updated to reflect benchmarks and KPIs.
- Work with internal teams to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency and reliability in reports. Conduct troubleshooting to identify data discrepancies and ensure data integrity in reports.
- Develop automated reporting solutions to make data more accessible, and ensure that the reporting infrastructure can scale with the organization’s growth.
- Fulfill various reporting and dashboarding requests from the Commercial, Marketing, SEO, and Content Teams as well as other internal teams as needed.
- Perform regular audits of data quality and reporting accuracy, implementing corrective measures and optimizations as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Expertise in utilizing advanced analytics tools such as Matomo, Google Analytics (GA), and Google Tag Manager (GTM) is crucial. The developer will integrate these tools to enhance our analytics capabilities and ensure accurate data flow from these platforms into our primary database systems.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of data collection processes from analytics tools to database, including the setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of data streams.
What you will be bringing to your new role:
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or proven equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data-focused role, in report development or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL for database management and query optimization.
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Ability to work with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Matomo.
- High attention to detail, with problem-solving skills specifically geared towards ensuring data integrity.
- A strong desire and passion to focus on the development aspects of data reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
