Your new role:
The Management Accountant is primarily responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, other accounting tasks as required under the guidance of the Accounting Manager.
The Management Accountant is a key member of the Accounting team, and is the second level check in the corporate control system, ensuring that purchasing processes and approvals have been followed by maintaining data integrity including line coding, vendor/customer set up and payment processing. The individual in this role must have a generalized knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of all other corporate accounting activities to be obtained through periodic role swaps.
What you'll be working on:
- Accurately record vendor set-up in D365, invoice entry, invoice coding, wire/EFT set up and payment runs;
- Perform credit card data entry, including regular review of transactions to ensure proper credit card use processes are followed and work with the Accounting Manager to resolve any deviations from those processes;
- Maintain digital & hard-copy files on all accounts payable and update records as required;
- Ensure compliance of proper payment workflow processes;
- Perform various administrative tasks according to the needs of the company;
- Assist with ad-hoc reports for management; including GL account reconciliations etc.
- Manage the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping;
- Liaise with external auditors and facilitate audit procedures;
- Liaise with and support stakeholders;
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations and confirm all transactions are correctly entered and post any missing transactions;
- Review & approve all expense claims to ensure proper coding and that expense claim processes are correctly followed;
- Proactively manage Jira tickets and identify purchasing process errors before they can delay payments;
- Assist Accounting Manager with month end & year end tasks;
- Treasury - Reconciliation of payments to open account receivables as well as preparing documentation for trading;
- Treasury - Prepare reporting for weekly cash balances;
- Treasury - Support on Ad Hoc projects.
What you will be bringing to your new role:
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent transferable skills (incl. in Spain / with Spanish regulations)
- Post-secondary education at college or university level focusing on business or accounting
- Experience in D365 or other accounting software application
- Experience in Jira or any other digital file management database
- Intermediate level Excel proficiency
- English proficiency, written and spoken
