Your new role:
The Data and Reporting Administrator plays a crucial support role within the Data and Reporting department. This position is designed to assist with data management, reporting, and administrative tasks, as well as maintain and manage accounts for various data suites and tools. You will work with the team to ensure seamless data operations, while helping to manage essential tools and reporting systems.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the team in data entry, validation, and cleaning.
- Preparing and distributing routine and ad hoc reports.
- Managing user accounts and access to key data suites and tools.
- Ensuring system maintenance and performing routine administrative functions.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn the core processes of data reporting while developing administrative and technical skills that are essential for growth in the data and analytics field.
What you'll be working on:
- Data Maintenance and Integrity: Ensure that data is accurately entered, validated, and maintained within our systems. This will involve data cleaning, verifying accuracy, and addressing discrepancies as they arise.
- Reporting Support: Assist in generating regular reports and dashboards for stakeholders by extracting relevant data from reporting systems and tools.
- Administrative and Account Management:
- Manage and maintain user accounts for various data suites and tools, including granting and revoking access as required.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as updating records, managing software licenses, and ensuring system security protocols are followed.
- Tool and System Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting and support for the department’s data and reporting tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations, especially when it comes to data consistency, reporting deadlines, and tool management.
What you will be bringing to your new role:
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets: Strong understanding of spreadsheet functionality, including formulas, data organization, and basic data analysis.
- Attention to Detail: You will be handling large datasets and need a high level of accuracy to ensure data integrity.
- Strong Organizational and Administrative Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain organized records, and complete routine administrative functions effectively.
- Basic Knowledge of Data Tools and Systems: Familiarity with data reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is a plus. Experience managing user accounts or administering systems is highly desirable.
- Problem-solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot minor issues in data systems or tools and resolve discrepancies in data or reporting.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to Learn: A proactive approach to learning new tools, reporting processes, and administrative tasks.
Strong consideration will be given to candidates who also offer the following:
- Experience with basic SQL queries.
- Familiarity with managing licenses or administrative permissions in SaaS environments.
- Exposure to data visualization or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
